Is This Worth It?

I've got a lot of things competing for my time. You've probably noticed that the frequency of posts has dropped off here.

My traffic counter has been flat at 8 visits/day for ages. That includes my own. So there are only 7 of you out there regularly checking this blog. Is it worthwhile, or should I just bag it?

How Bush Blew It

John Fund has a devastating and depressing look at the inside of a very screwed-up White House.

Indeed, even internal advice was shunned. Mr. Card is said to have shouted down objections to Ms. Miers at staff meetings. A senator attending the White House swearing-in of John Roberts four days before the Miers selection was announced was struck by how depressed White House staffers were during discussion of the next nominee. He says their reaction to him could have been characterized as, "Oh brother, you have no idea what's coming."

It doesn't give one much hope that Bush or Miers will do the right thing.
