Finally, we citizens who are in the middle must restore our lost work ethic and accept that our children are better off working in the yard than at the mall, remembering that not long ago our beds were made, our concrete poured and our food cooked without imported cheap labor from Mexico.

Fox Racially Tone Deaf

Suppose Bush had gone to Mexico and said that illegals from Central America are willing to do the jobs that even the Mexican Indians won't do. Well, Fox just said the equivalent.

"There is no doubt that Mexicans, filled with dignity, willingness and ability to work are doing jobs that not even blacks want to do there in the United States," he said in a speech broadcast in part on local radio and reported on newspaper web sites.

I'm not sure what Fox knows about dignity, but this canard about how people here are unwilling to do certain jobs is growing tiresome.
