VRWC Poll

If you used to get my VRWC mail, would you take a moment to send me an email (you know the address) and let me know:
  • About how often to you check out the blog?
  • How useful and/or entertaining is it for you?
  • What I could do to make it more worth your time?

If none of the above makes sense to you, don't try sending me an email just now. (I know you can find one in my profile. That's not the one I mean.)

Thanks.

Annie Hall moment

Jay Nordlinger links to a delicious Annie Hall moment.
But, alas, there was someone in the audience who actually had lived through the Cultural Revolution in China, and had been one of Mao's "barefoot doctors." He didn't see things quite the same way as Mr. Sen. In fact, he said the comments had quite surprised him.

Now Syria?

The "Cedar Revolution" in Lebanon may be spreading to Syria.
"What happened [in Lebanon] was a huge victory not only for the Lebanese people, but for the people of this region," said Wael Sawah, a Syrian political analyst and activist. "This is the first time a Cabinet resigns under popular pressure."
