Algore's Hot Air
Al Gore's little weather movie avoids a few inconvenient facts. Perhaps Al can't be bothered, since he's so busy adding to his Big, Fat Carbon Footprint
We're all in it together.

It's always "do as I say, not as I do" in the world of elite liberals. Laurie David, one of the movie's producers and wife of Larry David (Seinfeld creator), has been jetting around the country, solo, on a private jet for years. Guess her work is too important to worry about how much CO2 she's adding to the atmosphere.
A little laugh for all those who can't wait for Al's Movie to open: http://buttle.blogspot.com/2006/05/algores-hot-air.html
Uhm. Yes, someone is definitely full of hot air around here:
The Gores and all the employees of Generation lead a "carbon-neutral" lifestyle, reducing their energy consumption when possible and purchasing so-called offsets available on newly emerging carbon markets. Gore says he and Tipper regularly calculate their home and business energy use - including the carbon cost of his prodigious global travel. Then he purchases offsets equal to the amount of carbon emissions they generate. Last year, for example, Gore and Tipper atoned for their estimated 1 million miles in global air travel by giving money to an Indian solar electric company and a Bulgarian hydroelectric project.

Not that the--by comparison tiny--amount of carbon emitted in trying to curtail global emissions has much to do with anything. But it's fun to note that even your little straw man refuses to get on fire.
Well, anybody still needing evidence that Algore is just plain off his rocker ought to be convinced by that "carbon-neutral lifestyle" story. That's really, really funny on a number of levels.
Not the least of which is the idea that carbon is bad.
